Bruno arrived in America in the early 1970s with little more than a dream and determination. Though he spoke no English, he landed his first job at New York’s iconic Nanni’s Restaurant with the help of a friend. Within five years, his dedication and natural hospitality elevated him to one of Manhattan’s most sought-after Captains.
In 1977, he opened Bruno Ristorante, an elegant Northern Italian restaurant that quickly attracted celebrities, financiers, and dignitaries. Known for its refined cuisine and warm, unpretentious charm, it became a beloved institution defined by loyalty, family, and excellence.
After over 30 years at the helm, Bruno launched a new chapter with Club A Steakhouse in 2008. Designed as both a culmination of his career and a legacy for his sons Arben, Agron, and Alban—the “A” honors their names and their integral roles in daily operations. Together, they uphold the values of hospitality, quality, and grace that define the Bruno legacy.
Today, situated in a 120 year old brownstone where Bruno first started, Club A Steakhouse blends old-world warmth with modern sophistication. Guided by Bruno’s enduring presence, it remains one of New York City’s premier dining destinations, driven by passion, precision, and a deeply personal touch.
